PROOF MARKS:
- The barrel at the port is marked “CAL. 9m/m P” with a crowned “E / LG / *” proof, an inspection mark, and a “lion / PV” proof mark.
- The left front side of the trigger guard is marked “N”, a controller proof mark. The letter N was used by two men: Couchant Louis 1923-1952 & Scrpion Maurice 1959-1968 and 1974-1990

FUN FACTS:
- The High Power is the only sidearm that served on both sides in WWII - Germany used many HPs manufactured in occupied Belgium, while the Allies used HPs manufactured mostly in Canada by company Inglis.
- The HP was the first military pistol to have high capacity, staggered column magazine for 13 rounds plus one loaded in the chamber.
