Remington new they had to increase their manufacturing capacity so they immediately began to raze their existing, antiquated buildings in Ilion plus they made a agreement with Baldwin Locomotive Works at Eddystone, PA to construct a new buildings taking up 33 acres of floor space, and lease them to a new company for this location and named it Remington Arms Company of Delaware.
